BLOODWORK
At Dog and Cat Repair we are able to quickly diagnose a variety of diseases including diabetes, kidney failure, pancreatitis, and parasite infection with the help of our in-house laboratory. Using only small amounts of blood drawn from your pet, we can have results on the same day. This is especially important if your pet is scheduled for surgery or if we suspect an illness that needs to be treated immediately.

RADIOGRAPHY
X-rays can be extremely useful in diagnosing a variety of health problems. At Dog and Cat Repair our technicians are trained in safe, proper techniques for taking radiographs using only the amount of exposure necessary to produce excellent diagnostic images. Your pet might need to be sedated in order to ensure the procedure is performed accurately without stress or further injury. For difficult diagnoses, we may need to consult a specialist or another veterinarian for a second opinion.

ULTRASOUND
We offer veterinary ultrasounds for pets. Much like ultrasound for people, pet ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique used to diagnose sick and injured animals.

OTOSCOPY
The endoscopy procedure can also be used to view and thoroughly cleanse ear canals, known as an otoscopy. Your pet will be sedated and a small tube with a camera inserted into the ear canal which can then be viewed on the monitor. The ear canal will be flushed and suctioned for a thorough cleaning, which is particularly helpful for chronic otitis infections that won't clear with regular ear cleaning or when the ear has become too inflamed to successfully treat with medication.

HEARTWORM TESTING
Heartworm disease can silently progress for months before any symptoms appear, which is why annual testing is so important - even for pets on a regular prevention plan. Our clinic uses a quick, in-house blood test that detects heartworm proteins in just minutes, giving you accurate results without the wait. We recommend yearly screening for all dogs and testing prior to starting any new prevention medication, ensuring your pet is protected with the right plan from the start.

TICK BORNE DISEASE TESTING
Ticks can transmit serious diseases  including Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis that often go undetected until a pet is already feeling the effects. Our clinic uses a fast, in-house blood panel that screens for the most common tick-borne diseases in a single test, with results available the same day. Because many of these infections show little to no early symptoms, we recommend annual screening for all dogs, especially those who spend time outdoors or in wooded and grassy areas. Early detection means earlier treatment and a much better outcome for your pet.

PREGNANCY TESTING
Whether you're a breeder planning for a litter or a pet owner who suspects an unexpected pregnancy, our clinic offers reliable pregnancy testing to give you the answers you need. Using a combination of ultrasound imaging and hands-on physical examination, our veterinary team can confirm pregnancy, estimate litter size, and assess the overall health of both mother and developing offspring. Early detection is key - it allows us to establish a proper nutritional plan, identify any potential complications before they become serious, and ensure your pet receives the attentive prenatal care she deserves throughout every stage of her pregnancy. Whether your pet is a dog, cat, or exotic companion animal, we're here to support a safe and healthy journey from confirmation to delivery.

CANCER SCREENING
Cancer is one of the most common health concerns in aging pets, and like most conditions, it is far more manageable when caught early. Our clinic offers comprehensive cancer screening that may include bloodwork, urinalysis, physical examination of lymph nodes and tissue, and diagnostic imaging, all aimed at detecting abnormalities before they develop into something more serious. We recommend routine screening as part of your senior pet's wellness visits, as early-stage cancer often presents no obvious symptoms. Identifying changes sooner rather than later gives us the widest range of treatment options and the best possible chance at protecting your pet's quality of life.
